New Directions Holdings Achieve ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Standards

On 14th October 2013 New Directions Holdings officially gained the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. ISO is the International Organisation for Standardisation, a worldwide organisation with representatives from 157 countries. The ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 families are among ISO’s best known standards. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 are implemented by some 887,770 organisations in 161 countries.

The ISO 9000 standard addresses “quality management”. By achieving this standard New Directions has been recognised for fulfilling our customer’s quality requirements and aiming to enhance customer satisfaction whilst adhering to regulatory requirements imposed by our clients and governing bodies.

The ISO 14001 standard addresses “environmental management”. By achieving this standard New Directions has been recognised for minimising the effects that our activities have on the environment and continually improving our environmental performance as an organisation.

Leah Seltzer, Head of Compliance and Cathy Jones, Group Operations Manager led the campaign to ensure that New Directions achieved the standards required for these prestigious awards which are recognized throughout the World. Speaking of the achievement, Leah says “Obtaining these accreditations has been a real achievement for the organisation.
