Mark Belli, the Head Teacher of the Bishop of Llandaff High School in Cardiff is celebrating the school’s best ever GCSE results. These match the record-breaking results achieved at A Level last week. Mr Belli has been at school all day today whilst pupils collected their results and celebrated their successes.

Speaking of the Year 11’s accomplishments he told us, “We are very proud of the performance of our Year 11 students who have excelled themselves in GCSE examinations. Our Students and staff have broken records and produced the best GCSE outcomes in the school’s history”.

Under Mr Belli’s leadership, the school is going from strength to strength with a record of 97% of students achieving 5 or more A*-C grades, with 84% including English and Mathematics. More than a third of all grades recorded were at A*- A, with over twenty students achieving A* – A in all subjects taken.

New Directions supply teacher, Christopher Johns is delighted with the results his pupils have achieved in their Geography GCSE and AS Level. Mr Johns joined the Geography Department in January 2015 on a temporary basis and has committed his time to the demands of course work and extra-curricular lessons. Mr Johns would like to thank staff and pupils for supporting him during his time at the school and is delighted with the results of his A-level and GCSE students who exceeded all expectations in producing wonderful results.

New Directions Education would like to extend their congratulations to Mr Belli and the team.
