Wirral Secondary Schools prepare for exciting Tranmere Football Final

As the Tranmere Rovers Girls Under 13’s six a side schools football final draws near, secondary schools are anticipating an exciting occasions on Tuesday 22nd November. Spectators will see the six successful schools from previous round battle it out to be overall winners in the annually run football tournament.

The victors have battled their way to Tuesday night’s final. Prenton High, Ellesmere Port Catholic High, and Bebington High were the first set of group winners, facing horrible weather conditions to come out victorious. While Weatherhead, Neston and Wirral Grammar experienced much more favorable conditions  as they topped their respective groups. Twenty three teams were involved in the competition with some of the schools registering two teams.

Wirral Secondary Account Manager Sam Pilling is expecting great things from this years event. “New Directions Education would like to say a huge well done to all finalist teams! The final has always been an exciting event for everyone involved and this year will be no different. New Directions Education are honored to be a part of the competition once again and I’m looking forward to a momentous occasion and celebrating with the winning team, however all teams should give themselves a well deserved pat on the back for getting this far. Lots of luck to everyone involved. Everyone should be very proud.”

This weeks final will take place at Weatherhead High School at 4pm on Tuesday 22nd November.
