The core function of the Group Operations Assistant is to provide administrative support to the Group Operations Team in day to day administrative and operational activities. It will also entail an element of supporting the Child Safeguarding and Training Departments in a range of administrative tasks and projects across the ND Group of Companies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • To provide operational support to the whole Company via the Group Operations Helpdesk
  • To implement Health & Safety compliance (training given)
  • To monitor and maintain office security, key holder records and alarm systems
  • To co-ordinate with HR with regards to inductions and collation of staff information
  • To assist the Child Safeguarding Officer administratively, including the taking of minutes
  • To identify, sort and export data using reformatting fields in RDB (training given)
  • To extract, analyse and research data and produce regular ad hoc reports from a variety of sources
  • To be the main point of contact for stakeholders in on-going projects
  • To process AWR and GPS contracts
  • To provide administrative support to the Training Department

Essential Criteria and Skills required:

  • Strong Microsoft Office & Excel skills
  • High proficiency level in English and Maths to enable accuracy and quality of reporting
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently with large amounts of data to deliver analysis/reports accurately and on time
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Ability to work at pace
  • Strong transferable skills to work across multiple departments
  • Ability to adapt communication style to meet your audience
  • Time Management experience
  • Experience in taking and preparing minutes from meetings
  • Experience in challenging non-compliance/failure to meet deadlines from others
  • Ability to provide examples of managing down and up within an organisation

Desirable skills

  •  Possess a driving licence
  • Welsh Speaker
