New Directions Holdings is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Compliance Officer, for a temporary 6 month contract. If you feel you have the skills required, are up for a challenge and desire an exciting new opportunity please apply!

Your responsibilities will include:

The remit of your role will depend on the sector within the organisation. As a compliance professional, you’ll need to:

    • Sound knowledge of compliance and quality assurance requirements for given sector of recruitment
    • Check and understand all eligibility and ID documentation, professional qualifications/memberships etc. Chase and obtain references, DBS information and documentation
    • Conduct audits on applicant files, ensuring compliance with set standards
    • Safeguard the organisation by conducting risk and suitability assessments on candidate applications
    • Develop and offer solution based advised on any compliance issues
    • Responsibility for ensuring the compliance and quality assurance process is followed for given sector
    • Adhere to guidelines set by any relevant regulatory bodies
    • Build positive relationships with all customers, striving to provide excellent customer service at all times
    • Provide training to new starters on internal procedures
    • Work to the department’s professional standards on any ad hoc projects

 

Experience/attributes required

  • Holds excellent transferable compliance, quality assurance, auditing or vetting skills; alternatively proven and advanced administrative skills
  • Communication – Excellent communication skills, verbal and numerate. Has the ability to adapt style to meet audience
  • Customer Service – Excellent customer service skills and ability to build quality relationships with customers
  • Time Management – Sound time management skills, pro-active with managing workload in order to meet deadlines and able to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail – An eye for detail and thorough auditing skills
  • Innovative approach to work, applies divergent thinking and values LEAN concepts to strive for efficiency
  • Results driven – Willingly tackles demanding tasks. Strives for excellent results and high quality standards
  • Resourceful – Ability to use initiative, apply sound judgement without referring to others
  • IT literate – Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ability to pick up new systems and processes easily and confidently
