Job Description

Title: Finance Officer

Summary/Purpose: Support with facilitating and record the day to day financial transactions of the company.

Reporting to: Financial Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific

  • Accountable for managing all aspects of payroll, including processing monthly wage payments, statutory payments and associated administration
  • Accountable for managing the day to day transactions for the company’s pension scheme
  • Accountable for the reconciliation of monthly and yearly trainee allowances, support costs and travel against profile and contract value
  • Responsible for generating monthly support cost declarations
  • Responsible for overseeing the breakdown and reconciliation of weekly trainee payments for Sage
  • Responsible for overseeing the commercial sales ledger, including maintenance of accurate records and debt recovery
  • Responsible for processing company bank transactions
  • Accountable for overseeing monthly bank reconciliation
  • Responsible for overseeing staff mileage claims
  • Accountable for quarterly VAT return
  • Responsible for finance processes of additional contracts as required
  • Responsible for responding to general finance queries, both internal and external, as required

Experience & Qualifications

Previous administrative experience

Previous experience in a financial role

GCSE mathematics

AAT part of fully qualified

Payroll experience

Experience of dealing with management accounts

Fluent in Welsh

Knowledge

Sage Line 50

IT Literate – Microsoft excel
