Our client, a leading local authority is currently seeking an experienced HR Advisor on a temporary basis.
You will be pivotal in supporting the organization’s day-to-day operational HR activities while contributing to strategic HR projects. You will be an integral part of our HR team, responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient HR function, fostering positive employee relations, and driving strategic initiatives that align with our mission and values.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
- Support the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, screening applications, conducting interviews, and making recommendations for hiring decisions.
- Collaborate with managers to develop and implement effective performance management strategies, including goal setting, performance reviews, and career development plans.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
- Support HR metrics and reporting, analysing trends and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in the coordination of training and development initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of our employees.
- Play an active role in strategic HR projects, such as talent management, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and organisational development.
The Successful Applicant
- Previous experience at HR Advisor level
- Ideally, CIPD-qualified or working towards
