Site Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Administrator

Hours of Work: 08:00 – 16:30, Monday – Friday

Upwood, Ramsey, PE26


£9.61 – £10.57 per hour DOE

Our client is a leading manufacturer based in Needham. They are currently seeking an experienced Administrator to work with their SHEQ team on a temporary basis.

Job Purpose

To actively work with Site Managers and Site Management teams, with support from the Regional SHEQ Business Partner to administer SHEQ policies and procedures.

Health & Safety

  • Log all site Accidents and Incidents into centralised databases and update action trackers in line with company procedures.
  • Track SHEQ Audit, Fire Risk Assessment, and other SHEQ actions and update relevant databases.
  • Collate weekly and monthly report data.
  • Collate safety awareness and alerts training documentation.
  • Maintain emergency teams of Fire Wardens and First Aiders for the site(s), arranging training where necessary.
  • Support the Site Managers in coordinating HSCC meetings, recruitment of ROES, developing committee meeting information, minutes, and tracking of actions.
  • Support site in the management of Contractors and RAMS.
  • Ensure SHEQ notice boards are updated with relevant information (Policy Documents, Health, and Safety Alerts etc.)
  • Support Site Teams in the supply of adequate PPE.
  • Maintain sites compliance documentation (LOLER, DSEAR, COSHH (LEV) and PSSR) and update action trackers
  • Complete basic risk assessments and standard operating procedures (training provided)

Job Summary

  • Support Site SHEQ compliance through the management of documentation audits actions, and trackers, promoting a positive Health and Safety culture throughout the site

Personal Specification


  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an admin role
  • Basic understanding of Health and Safety legislative requirements
  • Excellent person management and relationship skills, and comfortable working effectively within a broad range of working environments, within a team or alone

Education/ Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Required)
  • Good standard of written and numerical literacy (Required)
  • IOSH Managing Safely (Desired)
