New Welsh School for Swansea

SWANSEA’S newest Welsh school is set to welcome its first batch of pupils for the upcoming term.

Ysgol Tan-y-lan opened September 6th — the first Welsh medium primary school to be opened in Swansea since Ysgol Llwynderw was established nearly 10 years ago.

New headteacher Catrin Pugh Jones who has hailed from Felindre is excited about the new venture.

The School are taking Nursery and Reception pupils this year and as the years go on the School will grow with the pupils.

New Directions wishes Ysgol Gymraeg Tan-y-lan all the luck in the world for their first year.
