Jonny Vegas Visits Sutton Academy

Sutton Academy has been star struck by the amazing Johnny Vegas, known for his roles in Benidorm and the PG Tips advert.

Jonny has been holding auditions for the role of a ‘troublesome teen’ to star in his new up coming programme ‘Christmas Crackers’ which will feature on primetime Sky One.

The programme has been written by the esteemed comedians Johnny Vegas and Liverpool’s very own legendary comedian, John Bishop. Sutton Academy has been the staging area for auditions and special thanks go out to Mr Albrecht and Mr Hughes who has supported and coached pupils throughout the audition process and helping with the evenings to ensure that they all ran smoothly.

Much to the amazement of all staff and fellow pupils, Sutton Academy’s very own Year 10 Student Ryan beat off competition from all over the North West and has been selected for the role which will be aired at Christmas – the show is one of a collection of hilarious stories and Johnny Vegas was that impressed by Ryan that he has spent time going to the Academy to give Ryan one to one coaching!

Sutton Academy want to wish Ryan all the luck in the world and said “Well Done Ryan! We’re very very proud of you! Enjoy the shoot and break a leg!
