Each term, the New Directions Cardiff primary team shortlist teachers to be awarded ‘Teacher of the Term’.  After reviewing an extensive list of teachers deserving of this award, Bridgend based teacher Lyndsay Jarman-Davies was this terms winner.

Lyndsay has worked for New Directions for over three years and has been extremely reliable during this time.  Senior Account Manager Rhian Vernall championed Lyndsay for this award based on her commitment to supply teaching and her loyalty to New Directions.  Lyndsay is teacher of choice within several Bridgend based schools and was recommended for her current long – term placement via another Deputy Head Teacher in the area.

Margaret Lugg Head Teacher of Maes-Yr-Haul Primary School where Lyndsay is currently working, has been delighted with Lyndsay and told us, “I am really pleased that Lyndsey has been selected to receive recognition of the work she is doing in schools.  I am totally satisfied with her work, she is a hardworking professional who has very quickly adapted to the systems and routines of our school. She has a caring nature which children and staff appreciate that.  I will definitely be asking for Lyndsey in future when I need supply cover”.

Lyndsay was presented with the award during Maes-Yr-Haul’s school assembly and was overwhelmed to have been acknowledged for her hard work.  Lyndsay said, “A big thank you to New Directions, it was a lovely surprise.  It is great to be recognised for good work.  I have been working for New Directions since 2009 as a supply teacher. Over the years New Directions have been excellent to work for.  I have been able to stay in my local area and attend schools that have been of a high standard. Thank you again for this award.”

Congratulations Lyndsay!
