The New Directions Specialist Education Needs (SEN) team based in Cardiff put on their running shoes to take part in the 5K Race for Life. The SEN team was joined by staff from Gladstone Primary school who work closely with New Directions Education. The annual race which was held on Sunday 23rd June at Bute Park in Cardiff, is a race event held nationally to fund raise for Cancer Research UK.

Vicky Parsons, Account Manager at New Directions Education was one of the team members who took part. Vicky commented ‘Unfortunately cancer  is a disease which has affected so many peoples life’s, Cancer Research is working hard to provide a cure and running the Race for life is our small way of making a difference. The day was emotional with so many people with personal stories about how cancer had affected them and their loved ones. I want to thank everyone from Gladstone primary who also ran with us.’

The SEN Team raised £159.00 which was added to the amount raised by staff at Gladstone Primary to help them reach their target goal of £500!
