As part of the The High Achiever Awards, members of the North Wales Crusaders have been visiting schools to speak about their inspiring stories. On Monday July 7th Matt Davies from New Directions Education joined the North Wales Crusaders as they visited Alun School in Mold.

Hanna Clarke and Christiann Roets from the Crusaders visited Year 9 pupils at the school, where Christiaan spoke to pupils about achieving his dream to play professional rugby, the pupils were really interested in his journey and asked lots of questions.

To end the day Christiaan took part in a softball game with pupils from the school, however the opposing team led by PE teacher Mr Hanson emerged victorious.

Matt Davies, Account Manager at New Directions Education commented ” Visiting schools to talk to them about the High Achievers Awards has been very inspiring,  especially hearing Christiaan speak about achieving his dream of playing rugby professionally. The pupils were really inspired by his story and I hope this encourages them to  work hard to realise their dreams.”
