New Directions Swansea Summer Camp Opens

Posted on

On Monday 28th July 2014 the Swansea Branch of New Directions Education opened the doors to our first ever Summer Camp being help at Dunvant Primary School. Children aged between five and eleven will be attending the club over the next four weeks. To date the children have undertaken many activities including puppet making, creating their own puppet shows, a treasure hunt and making their own kites. Rain has not stopped play as indoor activities have included making chocolate rice crispy cakes, board games, painting and a DVD screening of Frozen with popcorn. Many more activities such as pottery, outdoor team games and a picnic in the school garden are planned.

Michelle Thorne, Account Manager who has organised the Summer Camp said ‘all children are having a great time and are enjoying making things to take home with them. It is also great to see that after one week all of our staff are now fully trained in the art of Loom Bands! I was actually taught by a 5 year old boy.’ As the Summer Camp enters the second week, we hope the weather continues to be nice and that the children have a great time. There are still spaces available for children to attend and for further information please contact our Swansea team on 01792 620180.
