Local Businesses Unite to Sponsor School Football Kit

Footballers from a Shrewsbury secondary school are now able to run out in a brand new strip thanks to the generosity of local businesses. The Grange Secondary School, in Harlescott, has been sponsored by Shrewsbury firm SRS Electrical Contractors and New Directions, which provides recruitment and training to the education sector.

The red and black strip is for years 7 to 11 and will be worn by all football teams in that age group. Grange staff member Clare Tudor, who clinched the deal with SRS, New Directions and Viking, said the school was delighted to have secured the sponsorship which in total amounted to £600. ‘We are extremely grateful to the sponsors for their generosity – it means a great deal to us’ said Mrs Tudor. ‘Let’s hope it brings all our football teams better luck on the pitch! The students love the colours and the strip has gone down a treat – they really enjoy wearing it’.

Sophie Downes, Recruitment Consultant from New Directions Education said ‘As a company have a great working relationship with The Grange High School, so when they asked for support we were more than happy to help. The Students looks fantastic and I hope that they will wear their new kit with pride for many years to come’.
