New Directions Manchester is delighted to congratulate May Temp of the Month Cesserina Jeffries. Cesserina has been working in a long-term role as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant in Heybrook Primary school in Rochdale since February 2015.

Ceserina is described by her Account Manager from New Directions as having gone from strength-to- strength, developing into a fantastic Teaching Assistant since becoming part of the team at Heybrook Primary.

Lauren continues ‘Over the past few months I have received nothing but great feedback from the school and they couldn’t be more pleased with her dedication to provide support to all children in her care and her willingness to get involved in school life and events taking place’.

Upon being presented with her award, a shocked Cesserina said ‘I’ve never won anything like this before, I’m actually really shocked, all I can say is that I have loved every second of being in school. I love the children I work with and the staff at Heybrook have been nothing but supportive and have made me feel truly welcome thank you’.

Ceserina explained to the New Directions team that on Thursday 21st May school held an event to help raise money for an upcoming residential the students will be going on in a few weeks to Blackpool. As a donation Cesserina sourced some excellent prizes to donate to help raise even more money for the holiday fund including:

Pizzas from her father’s restaurant that was sold on the day
Fireman Sam and Spiderman costumes for dress up
Vouchers for Go Wild Play Arena in Bury

The school aimed to raise £200 on the day but excelled with an end sum of £777. New Directions also volunteered their popular inflatable Penalty Shoot Out for the event, which was described as an ‘outstanding success’ with a queue that ‘never seemed to vanish’.
