New Directions were the proud sponsors of the Flintshire Primary Games Association 2015. The presentation was held at Gwynedd Primary School in Flint on Monday 6th July 2015 and Mrs Kate Fox-Parry from Caer Nant was the Chairperson.

The Main Award Winners on the day were:

Outstanding Contribution to Sport in Flintshire = Mr Neil Owen (Class Teacher at Ysgol Gwynedd, Retiring July 2015)

Best Boy Athletes = Dominic Jenkins (Golftyn School) and Jack Pryce (Mountain Lane)

Best Girl Athlete = Holly Bennett (St Winefride’s)

Special mention to Golftyn School and their school football team for winnning the treble which consisted of the Tom Roberts Knockout Cup, Hardwick County League Championship and Ron Bishop Cup.

The day was a great success, attended by Jenna Whittam and Shelley Nicholls from New Directions Education. Shelley said “we were very impressed with the successes of the young children from around Flintshire. In particular, Holly Bennett stood out to us as a very committed and ambitious young sportsperson. Mrs Ormes from St Winefride’s spoke out about her at the presentation and gave a lovely introduction. Holly has won 40 Gold Medals since September, and trains at her swimming 7 times per week. She gets up at 5:30am twice per week and is in the pool at 6am before school. She is also in the pool by 7am every Saturday and Sunday Morning. A very impressive commitment from such a young girl”
