A leading Wrexham-based recruitment agency has kicked off 2017 with a record breaking flurry of business awards.

The New Directions Education team based in Kingsway House in Wrexham Technology Park were announced last week as finalists in the Business Insider North Wales Awards to add to their accolades to date so far.

Speaking about the impressive performance, Branch Manager Jenna Whittam said ‘Our home in Wrexham is very special to us – we have invested in the region since 2008. In that time we have worked with some really inspirational schools, teachers and other staff. This shortlisting represents what they deliver to the education community in North Wales. We are proud to represent a very special sector and fly the flag for the area’.

Last month the business saw Group HR Director Sophie Cecil announced as ‘HR Professional of the Year’ at the very first Wales HR Awards held in Cardiff. The team have also been announced as winners at the Business Excellence Awards for a third successive year.

Ruth Dalton, Group Head of Communications and Marketing for the organisation added ‘Our Wrexham team are a dedicated bunch. Their passion for what they do is infectious. I have seen the team grow, diversify and strive to be the best they can be to their schools and supply staff; they do it with so much heart – just being shortlisted at this stage is a salute to all of their efforts’.

New Directions Education became the first supply agency in Wales to be awarded Investors in People (IiP) Gold status in 2016. The business is also the appointed ‘Managed Service Provider’ of supply staff to the education sector across Wales.
