My Story… Laura Crowley, Supply Teacher, Swansea.

I qualified as a teacher in the summer of 2011. I had heard through friends who were already supply teaching that New Directions was the best agency to work with, as they have excellent relations with a majority of schools in Swansea.

I met up with the staff at the agency and they were very positive and welcoming, discussing my preferences for work and what distances I could travel for work.

I have worked at a wealth of fantastic schools over the past eight months of being signed up with New Directions. All of the schools I have visited have very high opinions of New Directions, and most opt to only use this agency to provide their supply staff.

Another great aspect of being signed with New Directions is that they provide regular training and developmental courses exclusively for the teachers signed to their agency.

If you are looking for an agency with an excellent rapport with schools in your local area, that will provide you with regular work then I would definitely recommend New Directions. I mostly appreciate that the staff value you as an individual, not just a name on their books.

My Story… Den Moran, Supply Teacher, Swansea

I have been working through New Directions for four years now, and would like to say that it’s been really a worthwhile experience.

When I was invited for an interview, I was a little apprehensive about the outcome, as working with an agency was a new experience for me. I needn’t have worried; the team were very friendly and took great pains to explain the terms and conditions to me. In fact, I had more to say to them in terms of when I was available for work!

One thing in particular makes the Swansea team so easy to work with, is that whenever I phone, they are always up to speed on everything, so full marks for office management. I hope to work with the team for a long time yet, so a big thank you to them, and best wishes to anyone joining New Directions.
