You will be supporting the child on a one-to-one basis within both classroom and playground settings. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong learning techniques to engage the pupil, who can be loud and disruptive at times and will need support with literacy and numeracy.
An important part of this role is to foster a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil.
You will have:
The ability to build trusting and positive relationship with pupils
Autism experience
Capability to monitor behavioural needs and support pupils with low self-esteem
A calm demeanour and encouraging nature
Commitment
You will need:
A minimum of 3 months paid or 12 months voluntary child-based experience

A Child and Adult DBS – or be willing to undertake one via New Directions
A willingness to complete mandatory training when required
