New Directions Education are recruiting inspiring, dedicated and inspirational Teachers to provide cover within the Primary specialist school setting. We work alongside some of the biggest as well as the smallest schools in the Merthyr area to help with their supply/cover needs. This could be daily cover as well as long term cover and this role would suit both NQT’s and experienced teachers. We are seeking candidates to cover within Additional Learning Needs schools, Units and Resource bases as well as Pupil Referral Units.
At New Directions, we care about the schools and offer a variety of free training to staff as well as the children. We recently hosted the World’s Largest British Sign Language lesson with over 3,500 attendees breaking a world record. We also offer free first Aid lessons to Key Stage 2 children and we can also provide a free inflatable penalty shoot out to schools to assist with fundraising incentives.
We also care about our candidates and offer a variety of CPD learning opportunities and host multiple webinars/seminars during the half term breaks. Some of these are Incidental Welsh, British Sign Language, Assessment for Learning, Mindfulness and Wellbeing plus many more.
NQT’s will also benefit from our newly launched NQT Support Programme where you will also have a dedicated NQT consultant, talks/webinars from the EWC and Central South Consortium as well as valuable advice from Head Teacher’s on what to expect in your NQT year, Lesson Observation tips and CV/Cover letter advise.
