Job Description

New Directions are looking for a specialist KS3 Teacher who has experience working with EBD and SEMH pupils. The role is within a specialist unit within the wider Torfaen area that supports pupils with various emotional and behavioural needs.

Job Specification

At present there are 6 pupils in the class with varying needs. You will have a team of support staff on hand to support.

In a setting such as this, it is imperative that you are both approachable and patient. The ability to build rapport with the pupils is key to a progressive learning environment. Challenging social and emotional behavior will be present on a daily basis, the ideal candidate will have experience dealing with this along with a calm and clear approach to teaching.

  • Knowledge of KS3 national curriculum
  • Experience implementing behavior management techniques
