New Directions Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a well respected primary school in the Llanelli area for a Teaching Assistant to work within the schools Additional Learning Needs class on a long term basis..
The role will be working within a small class with a headcount of under ten pupils with varying needs ranging from autism and social difficulties to aspects of speech, language and communication. The role will include a learning plan set out by the class teacher to ensure each child’s learning experience is maximised. Due to the nature of the setting the ability to work with your own initiative is crucial.
The ideal candidate will be friendly, approachable, committed, and versatile who can provide timely resolutions and is able to contribute to providing a calming and nurturing atmosphere for the class.
To be considered for this position you will need to have experience of working with children alongside the passion and confidence to positively impact a child’s educational experience. A background of working with additional learning needs is advantageous, due to the needs of the children and the role being a maternity cover it is essential you can commit to this role for at least the next six months.
