We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Behavioural Support Buddy to work on a flexible, supply basis across a variety of primary schools in the Manchester area. This is a rewarding role for someone with a strong background in SEN, who thrives on helping children succeed both emotionally and academically.

About the Role:

Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation using school-wide strategies
Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
Supporting learning in the classroom and during transitions
Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

We’re looking for someone who:
✔ Has proven experience working with children with SEN in a primary school setting
✔ Is calm, patient, and confident in managing behaviour positively
✔ Can build rapport quickly and adapt to different classroom environments
✔ Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
✔ Holds a valid DBS (or is willing to obtain one)

Desirable (but not essential):
SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) experience
Team Teach or similar de-escalation training
Familiarity with the Zones of Regulation approach

In return, we offer:
✅ Flexible work to suit your lifestyle and availability
✅ Supportive schools with welcoming teams
