New Directions are currently recruiting an Education Support Worker to work for a prestigious education setting in Denbighshire who are an independent provider of specialist further education in North Wales, offering day, and up to 52-week residential placements for young people aged 16 to 25 with a learning disability and complex needs.
As a support worker, you will be working one on one with young people who have learning disabilities or complex needs and you will be responsible for supporting their educational needs, fullfilling their potential for independence, choice, inclusion and control, supporting them throughout the day with daily tasks and needs. The role of a support worker is very unique and varied because the young people you support all have individual needs. Whilst this can be a diverse role, the key focus is always on supporting a person to lead a fulfilling and more independent life.

Education Support Officers (ESO) work within a classroom setting either on a 1-2-1 basis or with a small group of young adults.
Level 2 and 3 Teaching Assistant and Manual Handling qualifications are preferable for this role, along with experience of working with 16+ students.
