Job Description

New Directions are recruiting for an Engineering Lecturer on a part-time basis in a local College in Newport. This will be a short-term post in the first instance, with the possibility of covering until the end of the academic year for the right candidate.

Candidates may be expected to prepare, deliver and assess according to course specifications, as well as acting as a course tutor.

Candidates should have a relevant degree, in the subject specialism, and teaching experience in an educational setting up to level 4/5. 2 years industry experience is essential and a teaching qualification is desirable, or the candidate will be willing to obtain one.

  • Instil teamwork, motivation and inspiration to students, developing a learner-focused curriculum and the ability to continually improve their learning experience
  • Stay current with changes and developments in college schemes of work.
