A leading college in South Wales is currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant based in their City Centre Campus.
They will be joining a busy, fast-paced finance team and will be responsible for supporting the growing commercial operations of the College with raising invoices, payment allocations and managing the ledger, as well as being responsible for the management of student debt and the collection of tuition fees.
In addition, he/she will assist with the month end close down process where required, including the close down and reconciliation of the sales ledgers.
The successful candidate will hold 4 GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent including Maths and English and have good IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience of working in an accounting/finance environment is desirable and the ability to multi-task and work under pressure are also essential requirements of the role.
A school secretary has the responsibility to provide administrative support to the whole school.
The duties of a school secretary: receptionist duties including answering the phone and welcoming visitors, administrative duties including typing letters, sorting post, managing emails, dealing with school meals administration, ordering stationery, paying invoices, handling monies, printing and photocopying and managing schools systems like SIMS
School secretaries must be well organised as well as having excellent verbal and written communication skills. They must also be able to work well under pressure and be able to prioritise tasks.
Candidates will ideally have previous experience working within a school office. It is extremely advantageous having working knowledge of SIMS system. Schools will expect all school secretaries to have a good standard of education, previous office work and experience working with children to some extent.
