New Directions Education are currently seeking teachers who would be able to cover time set aside for Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) within Swansea primary schools. All PPA sessions would be within Foundation Phase Departments and so Foundation Phase specialists would be encouraged to apply. New Directions Education are seeking teachers who would be able to cover these sessions when their PPA teachers are away from the classroom and so all positions are on a supply basis. This is a great opportunity for you to experience each class within the Foundation Phase in as many schools as you want in order to develop your teaching skills.
We welcome applicants who:
Have gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and are registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC);
Are able to teach each class within the Foundation Phase and utilise the outdoor classroom effectively;
Are able to plan and delegate activities for the support staff within the classroom to undertake;
Are able to work closely with the class teachers and PPA teacher;
Can confidently liaise with staff, pupils and parents and undertake additional duties such as Parents Evening when required;
Are either Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT’s) or experienced classroom practitioners;
As New Directions Education work closely with most of the primary schools within Swansea, we can offer you a range of placements and provide the full or part-time hours you seek. We are also able to offer half day sessions consisting of either the morning or afternoon. Applicants would also need to be dynamic and be able to offer the children a rich and exciting education through working closely with the other staff members. New Directions Education will be able to offer you regular placements, access to our Recommend a Friend Scheme where you can receive up to £250 per referral and free training courses and webinars.
