Job Description

New Directions have been asked to recruit an ICT Teacher to work in a Secondary School in the Cheshire West area. This post will be commencing From Easter for the remainder of the academic year. The post is full time 5 days a week in an excellent school with tremendous staff as well as brilliant students.

You should be able to show that you are committed to the teaching of ICT in a professional, dynamic in an empathetic way.  You should be able to use technologies to support the teaching and learning throughout the school.

Each student’s progress is regularly monitored in order to support their overall progress and development; these records need to be accurate and kept up to date electronically.  You will be expected to use this information to inform your planning and preparation throughout the year.  This process will help you to facilitate and encourage a learning experience that provides students with the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

If you are also able to actively support the maths and/or computing departments that would be real advantage.

Job Specification

The role of a Secondary Teacher is a far-reaching and rewarding role that shapes the futures of young people.

As a Secondary Teacher you’ll be expected to:

  • Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges

  • Maintain discipline
