Job Description
New Directions Education are currently registering NQT’s for positions starting as soon as you complete your training placement. We are looking for teachers who have specialised within Key Stage 2. If you have specialised in any particular subject this would be advantageous to mention at registration in order for us to let schools know. We are able to offer full time and part time positions depending on the work pattern you seek. Undertaking supply positions is a great way for you to familiarise yourself with as many schools as you want within Swansea and all placements you complete will count towards your Induction Year.
We welcome applicants who:
Have completed a Teacher Training qualification either in Degree form or as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE);
Are able to teach all age groups within the Key Stage 2 Department;
Can confidently liaise with staff, pupils and parents;
Are able to demonstrate additional skills such as musical, sports related or creative;
Would be interested in longer term placements.
New Directions seek applicants who would like the flexibility of supply work and who would be available at times at short notice to fulfil last minute sickness absences. We would be able to offer you placements where your NQT Mentor would be able to conduct lesson observations. You will be able to undertake supply work within your local area or further afield depending on the schools you wish to work in. We are also able to offer free online training courses to support your career development. Alongside a dedicated Account Manager who will be providing you with suitable work, you will also have an experienced NQT Consultant who will be able to provide you with advice and support for your Induction Period. All New Directions candidates will have access to our Recommend a Friend Scheme where you could receive up to £250 per referral.
