Job Description

Are you a passionate educator seeing flexible supply work? Join us at New Directions as a KS1 & KS2 Teacher to work in schools in Flintshire. We offer part time and full time opportunities tailored to your schedule. Some posts will have the opportunity of extending to long term positions also.

To be successful you must be a dedicated education professional who is passionate, flexible and empathetic. It is essential that you are able to effectively build relationships with both colleagues and pupils, providing a safe and engaging learning environment. Experienced teachers and NQT’s are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism 
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment 
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges 
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation 
  • Maintain discipline 
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development 
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area 
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum 
  • Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening 
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
