Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Part-Time Afternoons in Foundation Stage 1

Are you a caring and dedicated individual looking to support young learners in their early education? We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a school in Bromborough, starting immediately and working part-time afternoons only in Foundation Stage 1 until summer 2024.

Role Overview:
– Support the teaching staff in the Foundation Stage 1 classroom.
– Assist with classroom activities and provide one-on-one support to students as needed.
– Help create a nurturing and safe learning environment for young children.
– Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to enhance the educational experience of students.

– Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting preferred.
– An understanding of early childhood development and learning strategies.
– Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
– Patient, supportive, and enthusiastic about helping children thrive.

Teaching or classroom assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.

We specialise in recruiting teaching assistants (TA) who are qualified in the following;

  • NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant
  • NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
  • CACHE Level 3 in Childcare & Education
  • BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing)

We’ll also consider experienced learning support assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.

  • Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
  • Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
  • Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
