You will be supporting the child on a one-to-one basis within both classroom and playground settings. The successful candidate will demonstrate learning techniques to engage the pupil, who mainly needs support with literacy and numeracy.
An important part of this role is to build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil, who could potentially have low self-esteem and emotional needs.
You will have:
The ability to build trusting and positive relationship with pupils
Capability to monitor behavioural needs and support pupils with low self-esteem
A calm demeanour and encouraging nature

You will need:
A minimum of 3 months paid or 12 months voluntary child-based experience

A Child and Adult DBS – or be willing to undertake one via New Directions
A willingness to complete mandatory training when required
