Location: Merthyr Tydfil
Salary: £61.25 - £65 per day
Start date: As soon as possible
Job Type: Temporary
Sector: Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
New Directions are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to be placed in a Secondary School in the Merthyr Tydfil area. The role will be 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday but the actual working times will vary once the successful candidate has been placed within the school.
The role will require a male due to the needs of the child; supporting a male pupil on a one to one basis. He is wheelchair bound and will need support with day to day activities and toileting. For this reason, it would be very appealing if the candidate held training in Manual Handling. It is essential, however, to have experience of working in a classroom environment, ideally supporting this kind of role.
