New Directions Education are currently recruiting a Level 2
Learning Support for a Primary School in the Bargoed area. The successful
candidate will be covering a maternity post for at least nine months, within a Year
The successful candidate will support the class teacher with
the day to day running’s of the classroom and small groups with literacy and
numeracy tasks. Furthermore, we are looking for an LSA who has experience
working within both the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2. The school are
looking to welcome a member of staff who is patient and supportive of developing
each child’s education.
The role is due to start in November 2019 and will be full

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:
Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
