Are you a caring and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) looking to make a difference in a vibrant school setting? We have the perfect position for you!

Position: Long-Term Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Wallasey
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: 5 days a week

Key Responsibilities:
– Support classroom activities in a Year 1 setting
– Assist in delivering phonics sessions and supporting students with literacy skills
– Provide one-to-one support for students as needed
– Work collaboratively with teachers and other LSAs
– Help create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment

Qualifications and Requirements:
– Relevant experience working as a Learning Support Assistant
– Familiarity with phonics teaching methods is highly desirable
– Ability to engage and support young learners effectively
– Good communication and teamwork skills
– Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting student development

Teaching or classroom assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.

We’ll also consider experienced learning support assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:

• Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
• Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
• Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
• Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
• Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
