Job Description

Are you a compassionate and enthusiastic individual looking to support students’ learning in a dynamic school setting? An exciting part-time opportunity is available for a Learning Support Assistant at a welcoming school on the Wirral. This role is to support students in the schools Year 3/4 class, for 26 hours per week until summer 2024.

As an LSA, you will play a vital role in providing support to year 3/4 students who require additional assistance.

Key responsibilities:
– Provide dedicated support to students, both inside and outside the classroom setting.
– Foster a safe and inclusive environment conducive to student’s needs, promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
– Collaborate closely with the class teacher and school SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement personalised strategies and interventions.
– Assist the students with their daily routines, promoting independence and self-confidence.
– Monitor progress, record observations, and provide feedback.

Teaching or classroom assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.

  • Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
  • Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
  • Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
