Job Description

New Directions are looking to recruit a Leisure Assistant to provide high quality customer service and organisational support for the running and security of the AstroTurf pitch at one of our Partner Secondary Schools located in Reddish. The role is a temp to perm role which means after 12 weeks through New Directions the successful applicant will move onto contract with the school.

The successful postholder will ensure the AstroTurf operates smoothly, ensuring the facilities can function effectively for community usage. The Leisure Assistants will ensure that everyone uses the premises in accordance with laid down procedures and that a full and professional service is provided.

The hours for the post are:

Monday to Friday – 17:00 – 22:00

Saturday & Sunday – 09:00 – 16:00

**Please note various shifts are available with hours to be discussed at interview. Flexibility with hours is required to provide cover across two Leisure assistants.

Responsibilities of the Leisure Assistant included but are not limited to:

• Have excellent communication and organisation skills
• Run the operations of the AstroTurf smoothly including dealing with bookings and customers
• Provide excellent customer service
• Ensure the safety and well-being of players using the AstroTurf

Person Specification

• Experience in customer service
• Be flexible with hours working (hours above need to be covered shared between 2 assistants)
• Strong communication skills
• Willing to support and offer guidance
• Have a positive attitude
