Position: Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Wirral, Merseyside
Year Group: Year 1

Contract: Long-Term, Starting ASAP till Summer 2024

This long-term position involves providing one-to-one support for a child in Year 1, focusing on learning support and positive behaviour management.

Key Responsibilities:
– Provide individualised support to a child in Year 1, addressing their learning needs and behaviours
– Implement effective strategies to enhance the child’s engagement with the curriculum and promote positive learning outcomes
– Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment
– Monitor and track the child’s progress, adapting support techniques as needed to facilitate their growth

Requirements:
– Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
– Proven ability to support children with diverse learning needs and behavioural challenges
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff
– Excellent behavioural management skills and experience with strong behaviours

  • Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
  • Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills
