New Directions Education is delighted to be working with an amazing school in Halton, who are looking to add a number of lunchtime supervisors to their staff.
With the support of senior staff, the Lunchtime supervisors will ensure the safety, well-being, and physical and mental health of our students are safeguarded by maintaining order, ensuring acceptable standards of behavior are upheld, and ensuring procedures are followed at lunchtimes.
Lunchtime supervisors will be supported to develop positive, professional working relationships within the team of Supervisors and other staff and act as role models to our students by always demonstrating and advocating the aims and values of the school.

School Lunchtime Supervisors are responsible for the safety of school children during lunchtime breaks.
Roles and responsibilities of a Midday Supervisor
The duties of a Midday Supervisor include supervising pupils in the dining area, playground and other school premises. They must also ensure pupils do not leave the school or go into areas that are out of bounds.
Midday Supervisor tasks will include:
Supervising pupils at mealtimes – encouraging children to eat healthily, helping infants to open packaging or cut up food, and providing some social and educational training, such as good table manners
Cleaning up spillages and possibly helping catering staff to clean tables and clear the dining area
Overseeing children in the playground or during wet play and monitoring the safety and suitability of activities
Supervising children using toilet facilities, checking they wash and dry their hands
Caring for the personal cleanliness of children
Maintaining order, cautioning children who misbehave and reporting unresolved problems to the Duty Teacher or Head Teacher
Making sure children who are ill or injured receive appropriate medical attention and reporting any serious accidents.
Skills and experience required to be a Midday Supervisor
To be a Midday Supervisors, you should be:
Able to deal with any quarrels or fights
Comforting around upset children
Able to remain calm and deal with any emergencies
Vigilant at all times
