Job Description

New Directions are currently keen to recruit for dynamic and reliable Mathematics teachers for a range of opportunities in the Shropshire area. Recruiting for the short, medium and long-term requirements of a number of schools located across the borough, New Directions have a pressing need to add Maths teachers to our team of supply staff.

The ideal candidate for this role will have an excellent knowledge of the curriculum and be up-to-date with the requirements of each examining board. You will also need to be aware of the latest developments in the teaching of Maths and have a passion for teaching the subject. Being able to plan and implement engaging and effective lessons is a must as is the ability to continually track pupil developments and respond effectively to the differing needs of pupils in your care. Due to the nature of the role, the ability to drive is a big advantage as is a professional and service driven approach. You will need to be adaptable to the school’s needs and flexible in your availability for work.

If when working within schools on supply you are able to create an excellent impression then, should you wish to apply for any internal opportunities which arise in those schools, you are placing yourself in the strongest possible position.

Both newly qualified and experienced teachers are welcome to apply for this role.
