Job Description

You’re an enthusiastic and intelligent mathematician who regularly thinks in maths. You love and embrace the subject, when others shy away from it; but similarly to Archimedes, Euclid and Pythagoras, you have a passion for numbers and solving problems.

You crave a teaching post which is real; one that will stretch you and in return, a school that will support you. You’re looking for a role where you can enthuse and teach secondary students the beauty and simplicity of mathematics.

Whilst New Directions Education needs you; so too does the vast number of schools we exclusively work with and you need this opportunity to showcase your skills and love for the subject. We are looking for an inspirational, maths teacher who can inject love into the subject they’re passionate about and who are concerned about the lack of graduates going onto study mathematics at degree level.

You will be either a newly qualified teacher (NQT) or a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with a relevant maths degree. Equally, you may have completed a maths enhancement course prior to completing your PGCE. You’re full of interesting and engaging ideas and you’ve the skills and commitment to enthuse your learners. So, what are you waiting for?

New Directions Education provide teaching and supply staff to secondary schools across Cheshire and the Wirral. On the other hand, Matthew has taught across Key Stages 3-5 in the SEND, Secondary and FE Sector. We’re proud, widely appreciated and trusted by our schools and equally as important by our own staff.

We want your expertise and enthusiasm to help ensure mathematics remains a topic of study; whilst ensuring you’re treated and valued as a full-time member of staff.
