Job Description

You will be appointed a dedicated Account Manager who will seek placements (daily and long-term) to cater to your strengths and be on hand for any questions or queries you may have PLUS you will also be appointed an NQT consultant who can answer any questions and support you through your NQT year such as signing up with the EWC and how to submit your Induction hours. You will also have access to over 50 CPD accredited online course as well as licensed in-house training such as Team Team, Personal Safety and Behaviour Management, Autism Awareness, First Aid, British Sign Language and many more.

Here at New Directions Education, we are looking for Newly Qualified teachers to join our already successful and expanding team, to work in Primary schools across the Blaenau Gwent Borough. We are seeking NQT’s to work in Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 classes who can bring energy and positivity to inspire the children so they foster the love for learning.

We recruit newly qualified teachers (NQTs) for short and long-term teaching vacancies.

As a newly qualified teacher you’ll be expected to:

  • Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  • Maintain discipline
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  • Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
