Job Description

New Directions Education is currently recruiting a caring and enthusiastic Qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant to work in a warm and welcoming nursery setting in Aintree. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated and nurturing team, supporting the early learning and development of young children during the most important stage of their education journey.

The Role:

  • As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with room leaders and practitioners to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning through play.
  • Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development while encouraging independence and positive behaviour.
  • Assist with the observation and assessment of children’s progress in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment, ensuring the wellbeing and safety of all children at all times.
  • Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues to support each child’s individual needs.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Have experience working within an early years or nursery setting, supporting children’s care, learning, and development.
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare, or equivalent.
  • Have a sound understanding of the EYFS framework and the ability to put it into practice.
  • Be a caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for helping young children learn and grow.
  • Be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service if not already in place
