One-to-One Support in Additional Learning Needs School
Location: Cheshire West & Chester
Salary: 8.81 - 9.39 per day
Start date: Immediate
Job Type: Temporary
Sector: Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
New Directions are looking for an enthusiastic and preferably experienced Learning Support Assistant to work in one of our client’s school in the Ellemere Port area. The school has a great track record for nurturing and developing talent and ensuring they house a positive and award-winning learning environment for both pupils and staff alike.
Experience of working with Autism is essential for anyone wanting to be considered for this position, but this would not necessarily have to have been in an Additional Learning Needs School. If you have worked previously with young people on a one to one basis in a mainstream setting and feel you would be well suited to working with a team of experienced professionals, this opportunity could be the ideal progression in your career.
The position is due to start as soon as possible.
A large number of our jobs are within the ALN sector. We fill many vacancies in schools with candidates who have the right experience and qualifications.
To work in an Additional Learning Needs (ALN) role you will need:
Ideally experience working in an ALN environment
Recent experience in a classroom environment
An excellent track record
Good knowledge of the national curriculum
Flexibility and adaptability to work short-term and long-term.
We are always looking for candidates who have particular experience in working with children classified as having:
Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Multi-Sensory Impairment (MSI)
Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
Profound and Moderate Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
Severe Learning Difficulties
Physical Disabilities (PD).
