New Directions Education are currently registering Final Year Students for long- and short-term supply placements. As we navigate these uncertain times, we can begin the registration process and then have your file ready for when you have completed your course. We are seeking teachers who could work in primary schools within the City and County of Swansea and you will be able to decide if you prefer Foundation Phase or Key Stage 2 placements.
We welcome applicants who:
Have either just completed or are about to complete a Teacher Training course;
Are able to promote the ‘Cwricwlwm Cymraeg’ throughout the school and use incidental Welsh when appropriate;
Can confidently plan, deliver and assess lessons on longer term assignments;
Are able to work closely with other members of staff and the support staff within the classroom;
Seek the flexibility of supply placements through either part-time or full-time hours.
Undertaking supply placements is a great way for you to gain experience in a variety of schools and to see how different schools operate. You will also be able to observe and develop different styles of classroom management and learning techniques. All supply sessions you undertake will count towards your Induction Period. New Directions Education are also able to offer you free online training courses to aid your career development, a dedicated account manager to find you suitable work and an experienced NQT consultant to support you through your Induction Year.
