One of our larger primary schools in the lower RCT area are seeking a long-term teacher to work three days a week across key stage 2 to start in September 2021. The cover is needed to release teachers for their PPA time and will be in different classes for each day. The school is well known for having a fun, supportive staff who are welcoming to all new teachers. There are lots of opportunities to pick up extra days supply during the week if desired or this role would suit someone that is looking for part time work.
Our school needs someone that is flexible, experienced in managing KS2 classes and has excellent classroom management skills. The role could be for a long period of time so someone that is willing to develop relationships with staff, parents and pupils is essential. The school has a great team of staff that will support you and work with you to ensure the children have the best learning experience. They provide a safe environment for all pupils to be challenged and reach their full potential in school.
Your role as a Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher in the age group of your speciality will be varied and at times challenging. But we doubt you’ll find a more satisfying career where your main objectives will be to develop the children and prepare them for the next stage.
As a Primary School Key Stage 2 Teacher you’ll be expected to:
Teach all areas of the school curriculum
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
