Are you a Primary Teacher based in Oswestry or happy to travel to North Shropshire?

New Directions are looking for enthusiastic Teachers to join our pool of fantastic candidates, ready for the new academic year.

Supply teaching is flexible and you can work full or part time depending on your availability and needs, with some posts extending to long term positions. Experienced teachers and NQT’s are welcome to apply.

You can state your preferred days of work and areas that you are willing to travel to.

To be successful you must be a dedicated education professional who is passionate, flexible and empathetic. It is essential that you are able to effectively build relationships with both colleagues and pupils, providing a safe and engaging learning environment

As a Primary School teacher you’ll be expected to:

  • Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism 
  • Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment 
  • Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges 
  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation 
  • Maintain discipline 
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupil’s development 
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area 
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum 
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
