New Directions is excited to be working with an excellent primary school on the Wirral that is looking for a Year 1/2 teacher from September on a full-time basis. Strong senior leaders have created a learning environment where students enjoy coming to school and are thriving as a result. A recent Ofsted report graded this school as ‘Good’ with Outstanding feature – with particular praise for the school’s behaviour.
As a Primary School Teacher you’ll be expected to:
Teach all areas of the school curriculum.
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment.
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation.
Maintain discipline.
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupil’s development.
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area.
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly.
To apply the candidate must have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Knowledge of the National Curriculum
Able to provide Referees.
An up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
Eligibility to work in the UK.

Your role as a Key Stage 1 (KS1) primary teacher in the age group of your speciality will be varied and at times challenging. But we doubt you’ll find a more satisfying career where your main objectives will be to develop the children and prepare them for the next stage.

Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
