New Directions Education is looking for a sports coach to work in a large primary school based in Wallasey, Wirral. This is for a long term position starting in September 2021 and continuing on through the academic year. The hours of this role are 12pm-6pm as you will also be involved in leading the after school club in fun, engaging activities.
For this fantastic opportunity you will be required to have a sports background in training and/or coaching and be confident in managing large groups of children with good classroom management skills . This is an exciting and varied job role as the P.E lessons will be across all the Primary key stages during the week to cover school PPA lessons.
This school is easy to get to on public transport, however there is a good size car park for drivers.
Working as a coach can be a very rewarding, you will help support schools enrich the experience for their pupils. In your area of specialism, you will have a role in assisting pupils to realise their potential through the provision of instruction, advice, and encouragement.
You will be responsible for planning, organising, and delivering an appropriate range of activities and programmes of your subject specialism, in line with the national curriculum.
Our curriculum enrichment programme will allow you to support schools, with covering full classes in various year groups, delivering these key subjects and allow the teachers to have their planning, preparation, and assessment time.
Physical Education –Delivering various sports in line with the expectations of the school.
Creative Arts – Delivering engaging lessons, to meet the needs of the school, linking to the curriculum for creative arts.
Outdoor Learning– Delivering lessons for children to learn through discovery and experimentation, engaging them in fun environmental and adventurous activities.
Languages – Delivering a foundation for learning further languages including British sign language.
Mental Health and Wellbeing – Delivering lessons to allow children to make connections between their emotional and physical experiences.
